Ok so question the lady I bought my laavender Black split chicks from said she has a lavender rooster over lavender black and blue hens, I bought a batch of chicks from her as I cannot find a single lavender orp hen anywhere near me. They are now six weeks old and I am having issues identifying colors one chick she called a blue but I had another member say it was lavender the others she called splashes and then there is one black now I am completely baffled on the genetics what is the difference between the lavender and blue does some one have pictures to compare them? I also just Dozen pure lavender orpington chicks off of ebay I am excited about those. I will probably seperate any pullets I get out of those out with my best lavender roo (I have three) Just looking for advice on what to do.
