Yesterday and today they were in the same spot.If she is new to it, probably not. My older girls have their routine spots but even those change every now and then.
I have to crack them open? Lol dang.If your male is young they probably are not. To tell if they are fertile, break one open and look for the white dot floating on the yolk. If their is a ring around the dot making it look like a bullseye, or just a ring, it is fertile. If all you see is a small white dot it is not fertile. The one below is fertile. By the way, the eggs taste great!View attachment 1497577
Why would you not want to crack a couple open?I have to crack them open? Lol dang.
Why would she be laying in the same spot?
The male is a year old.
If he is a year old they could be fertile. Ducks usually lay an egg a day until the nest is full. Then they stop laying and sit on the eggs. If you remove the eggs while she is laying, ducks keep laying. So any you take will be replaced. Otherwise you can wait until she has been sitting on the whole clutch for at least a week and then candle the eggs with a flash light. You can then see the growing blood vessels and developing embryo if they are fertile.I have to crack them open? Lol dang.
