My rooster makes the wooing chittery noises too - but usually in the corner of the coop.

Noooooooo in the nesting boxes Mr. Dorky! (really Mr. Darcy, but my dad affectionately (?) nicknamed him Mr. Dorky.

Ha! Thanks you guys, he is very handsome indeed. He's still pretty clumsy in the lover department, but he keeps a sharp eye out for trouble, and is very generous with the hens when it comes to food. No eggs this morning, but boy do those nests look nice!
