You will have been in there a week and a half already by the time Im writing this. At that point in boot camp I was severely depressed and really bummed out. They had us doing everything at once it seemed and nothing seemed to make any sense at all. I remember at about 2 weeks in they made us push our racks against the side of the squad bay and had us running around in a circle with our foot lockers. I looked at the guy next to me, a pretty big dude, and he had tears rolling down his face. Thats when it clicked. I wasn't the only one having problems. After that I saw humor in everything. It was easy for me, but I did get in trouble for cracking a smile on more than one occasion. Theres a reason for all the pain and the suffering involved in the training. That was 24 years ago and it still makes me laugh. The Marine Corps was the best 6 years of my life. You chose well and you will never meet a group of people with more integrity in your lifetime. Take care and enjoy the adventure.
