Goat walker you will be fine,I retired last year as a special forces RANGER 23 years active duty 22 years as civle services doing the same job, it was the best 45 years of my life,I hade bad times, but much more good times I LOVED IT (retired ranger good luck and dont give up no mater what.

They have a motorcycle safety course and its required before you can ride on base. Usually its pretty decent but its pretty basic, even the advanced rider course is basic. As for transporting them around, anywhere you can bring your bike you will be able to bring a jeep or truck. So just get whatever you like the best, although I vote a bike and a truck.

Coming from the Marines and now Army, I can honestly say you made a wise choice. I like the Army a lot, its great. I LOVED the Marines though, to me there is no comparison between the two.
