Lebanon Oregon Hatchery

I was going to get my chicks from her but you can only contact them by e-mail and they were complete flakes about responding to inquiries. In the end I had no idea whether she would have the birds I wanted or when I should pick them up. After three e-mails that got no response, I gave up. Awfully strange way to do business!

I think the prices listed on their website are really high --- $7.00 for Sex-Links, Leghorns, and other common breeds?

Most hatcheries offer those at around $2.50 apiece, sometimes less.

yeah price-wise I'm really not sure the incentive to go with this hatchery (reseller in this case) over another. If one was so inclined to go with a hatchery....

So, I had an open mind going into there....but when I read this:

4) Chicks are not de-beaked. (For most larger/commercial hatcheries, the chicks are hung from their beaks and a high intensity radiation light burns off their beak).

I lost all interest. If someone knows NOTHING about industry, why on earth pretend?

I lied. This entire page is a load of tripe and she should be sued for the lies she spreads:
