After living 2 weeks in the coop, whit several trips out in the sun. After observing the older hens and the routine, and picking up on the local language

It was time to learn something new. I lowered a roost, I contained the chick feed so they could get it but the hens could not. the chicks jumped and flew right up, no ramp needed!!

They ran in & out all day, up on the roost & down. the one hen kept an eye on them, mostly think because she wanted their feed.

The chicks did great
 
OH MY GOODNESS, we just got back from walking the dogs and I peeked in the run to see how the chicks were-- they were sitting just like the big girls, on their run roost. TOO CUTE!
