Sorry I haven’t updated recently. Sorting through some hard stuff.

I found out that Nutmeg was the one pecking Eclipse on the head, so I’m worried Nutmeg is a cockerel. (When I got back from vacation, I saw eclipse had been a bit bullied.

Hi Lemon-Drop, I'm sorry you did have to sort through hard stuff and I hope everything is ok
And I'm sorry your little Eclipse got bullied and got pecked so much on the head, poor sweetie! I'm not sure if at this young age being a bully means the one bullying is a cockerell. I have a very sweet and gentle silkie girl, my little Mirabelle, and she gets occassionally pecks from everybody else, boys and girls (especially when food is involved, so we always take her on our knees and she gets some extras, now she already comes over and waits till we take her up, and she is very talkative )

Hi Lemon-Drop, I hope you and your flock are doing well! Did Nutmeg stop to peck Eclipse in the meanwhile and did Eclipse grow back some feathers?

Sorry aven’t updated! Been kind of distracted with some family issues, but I’ll be fine.

Eclipse is starting to grow back some feather, I can try and get a photo tomorrow but I might forget. I think nutmeg did stop the pecking, at least for now.

Safaia has been laying lots of double yolkers! At least 15 that I’ve counted since she started laying, poor thing!

I’m going to log off for the night soon, though I feel bad because I realized I forgot to update my Silkie comb thread. I’m a bit of a mess right now.
