I was beginning to think these eggs were jinxed

My fertility & hatch rate were spot on .... So I have to attribute some of the problem to shipping. These eggs are large & have a better potental to be shaken & create loose air cells.

Let me know if your babies are as friendly as mine. I have to literally peel them off my hands & arms to clean the brooder.

We need pics when you get your camera working.

Here are some pics taken yesterday of a pair

hatched March 30th.

You can see some gold coming in on the pullets mantle

Thank you also for the kuddos on packing eggs. I do try to pack so they don't wiggle too much.

Keep us updated!!!

I have to agree with the nice packing job... and I have to agree with the likelihood of sloppy handling from the time the box left YOUR hands and arrived in MINE!

If you ever decide to ship live birds, please let me know. With good shipping practices, proper live animal shipping boxes, and plenty of grow-gel, I've had chicks Express delivered quite nicely from over half-way across the country.

I can't wait for each step in the process and hope I get some of these beautiful chicks in a few weeks.

I am so eager to see pictures of the new chicks.

Wishing continued good luck as you raise these chicks.

I do ship but it is getting hot now. If you are still interested, perhaps we can plan something for the fall. I'll get a few more chicks hatched so we will hopefully find one or a pair for you later in the year.

Could you put me down for some in the fall too? I only got one and i would love some more. So far, it is my favorite out of my hatch!

No problem Melissa. Looks like I'll be hatching this summer for fall delivery!!! You are officially on the list

haha I'm on the list for some eggs this fall! I can't wait!

Hey wwmicasa1 would you be willing to ship me some Mottled Cochin eggs also when I buy the Lemon Blues. That would be awesome to have both at the same time and you could ship them together!

Let me know how much like 6 Blues, and 6 mottled would cost.
