She will be whiny since she is the only one. Chickens are social creatures and they do not like to be alone. Try giving her a mirror and a stuffed animal to cuddle with. That should make her a little happy. You are now her flock. Welcome to the addiction!!

welcome? haha!! already here i am afraid. my other chickens werent this whiny... she seems to think of each of my hands as a chick... if i peck my finger at the food she startes to eat, she follows the flock (my hands) that is why she is always on the keyboard when i am typing.. although her feet do get in the way. she is too light to actually press down on the keys so it all works out.

today, i let her out side. this is my black cochin bantam fajita with lenore. lenore kept burrowing under her wing. it was really cute! my other chicken - gordita got really jealous. she was flying up on to chairs and bicycles just so she could get a better look.

That last pic is really cute. I cant believe that fajita let her under her wing. I bet Lenore likes being with the other chickens.

she actually prefers me! i would set her down on the ground and she'll run right to me! i dont trust her with gordita - gordita (my EE) chases off my DOG!i showed my dog lenore and he ran away. i guess my parrot taught spike to respect all birds lol.

OMG!

Lenore eats SPIDERS!! i was so proud!! my other chickens dont eat bugs at all - not even when i give them bugs!! so i was guiding Lenore around the yard to eat spiders! She must have ate at least 10! (a lot of them fell to the ground when she pecked at them) i tried taking a picture since it is an amazing sight, but it happens so fast!! it is amazing to see these HUUUUUGE spiders go into such a small beak!! she is TOTALLLY my favorite chicken! she already does more than my other chickens!! my other chickens (fajita and gordita) eat my plants, and eat their food, and poop everywhere! Lenore eats spiders!
