It's not practical. It's people behind a desk in a fantasy. So bird flu seems to ravage through the Netherlands. His means that non-commercial owners of poultry need to shield their poultry from wild birds and their droppings. Meaning they can still go outside (but need a roof). Could be a tarp or something else.
I am wondering how this would work in practicality. As is general knowledge chickens are jungle/forest animals, so I have trees in my run. How am I supposed to shield them from wild birds droppings with tall trees in the run? As I live in a very wet area, how do I make sure the water from the tarp/temporary roof doesn't end up in my run? Or make the tarp just fill up?
Even though they have a spacious coop locking them inside is not preferable as I am dealing with bullies.
The commercial poultry farm business /CEO’s dont give a d*mn about hobbyist and small keepers with chickens. The lobby from the animal feed industry, large slaughterhouses and huge farms is tremendous. So bird flu seems to ravage through the Netherlands.
