Lethargic hen, Heat or something else?

I think Pearl is okay! All of a sudden, she's up and walking around, looking perfectly normal except she's sitting down for a little rest now and then. I will continue to watch her closely, but for now it looks like she's out of the woods.

That's great news Mia! With any luck, she's coming around and it was either a transient self limiting 'bug' or it was the heat; while not extreme heat, maybe she is just less able to compensate and needs refuge when it gets to be 90+........... My roo BJ is heat tolerant but not cold tolerant and hen Ellie is the exact opposite, cold tolerant but heat adverse. Always an interesting challenge keeping them both comfortable at the same time!

Eager to hear how she's feeling today after you get a chance to observe.....

Sounded like heat exhaustion. My hens will stay in the coop and lay in the dirt the whole day. Hopefully she stays cool!
