Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

have you hobbled him? I did, with vet wrap around both legs above the 'knee' and then taped together in the middle, since it did not stick together as it was supposed to. Then I did it below the knee for a while and 'forced' it to rest, then took it off and watch the baby walk all over with the higher hobbles on...so today I took it off and off baby went, tottering/toddling/wobbling (whatever) after the older 3. So adorable!
Good Luck with yours. Don't wait to try to correct it...the older they are, the harder it is to fix.

Napoleon is a precious goose! Are you going to let her sit on fertile eggs? I have two dewlaps that went completely broody over a week ago. They are both sitting on about 6-8 eggs each, but not sure if any are fertile. I thought they were not known for being good broodies, but these two are taking the role very seriously!
No, but she acts like she will be done laying soonish, then she can foster what I'm growing out. After having to get rid of a gander for staying aggressive after babies grew up last year I'm not taking that chance again.
At what day do you guys lock down on your geese? Mine should start pipping tuesday. Along with the chicks. Ive got the hatcher set up and ready to go. When should i move them?
I lock mine down when they internally pip. I'm a candle-aholic

I have them bandaged now hoping it works. This is my first time hatching goslings.

This group of 4 (1 muscovy duck, 2 chickens, 1 bourbon red turkey) hatched a baby last night.

After I got her from under the stock pile, I brought her in. :/

I have another one zipping under the duck that hatched the one the other day. Looks like the turkey hen made her way back over there and is now back with the duck. :/

Adorable pics!!! Congrats on all the new hatchlings, whether they are emus, ducks or geese. I agree that Zip is a good name and you should name one of the other babies Zoom.
