Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

Aspen, I understand. I started with a pair of ganders 2 years ago and now I have 32.

I have a contagious disease called "Goose Fever" and I hope I never get over it.
I wish that I knew how to candle. I have tried and tried and tried but I can't see what everyone else sees. The insides always look empty to me but then the eggs hatch.

X2 what Shellie said
His flock was split up all over. Jennifer has a large number of the colored stock, but usually keeps everything she hatches, selling very few ever.

Kuntry...... see my avatar, thats a goose egg candled early on. Go in a completely dark closet with a small HIGH powered flash light. PLce the flashlight against the top (FAT END) shining down inside. At day 7 you will see veining (some call them spiders) and early growth (localised centered blob that grows into your gosling). At day 10 everything is even clearer.

happy hatching all.............. been setting eggs since November and hatching since geese since December here. ALL pens but 1 are laying now. Adding new adult breeders next week

Jennifer's birds are gorgeous..I've emailed her before about her Sebs, but never got a reply.

I want to get some nice Sebbies this year, anyone know who got Holderreads stock? Lavender would be the bomb Kuntrygirl, I don't know why I though you had those egg in for 2 weeks, we must have been talking about them before you set them. I will be a few weeks behind you.

I have a lot of work that needs to be done outside today, but the wind is blowing like crazy, and some pieces of tin were flying around in the air..so I came back inside. lol

MrsMagoo - I love your website.

Thanks Aspen. I work on it a little each day. I have managed to spread my pictures between two computers: My old XP laptop and the windows 7 laptop I share with our daughter....i.e. never get to use...lol.

Anyway, it is really a lot easier than I thought and the site is free! Plus I can link it to my Paypal account and sell Mealworms, hatching eggs, and my arts and craft stuff to help offset my feed bill and stock purchases. I mean it is either that or rob a bank and that is still illegal....lol.

You can get a light off Amazon that is 900 lumens plus the special size rechargeable batteries it needs for under $30.00. I got one called the UltraFire WF-502B and it lights the interior of the eggs really well.

I have 9 fertile eggs now and replaced 4 that were duds with fresh ones today.
