I gave my broody chicken a goose egg to set on. That makes 24 set now. Hopefully this hatch goes better. I still have 3 due the end of the week. Hopefully i get one to put with this lil lone gosling. For now he loves his pig.
Thank you for your kind comments and encouragement - they're much appreciated. Yes my daughter is well into the animals we have here and wildlife in general and we encourage her as much as we can. Our son is more the rebel at 3 years old so we've got to watch him as he learns

Thank you and yes so pleased to see the first Buff who's doing well so I think a spell outdoors on the grass today as the weather's lovely and I always think the grass, sunshine and fresh air gets them off to a good start
Keeping my fingers crossed that you get your first Buff female and will be watching out for news of them hatching

What a lovely group of goslings you've got there, you must be over the moon. How did the Dewlap Toulouse eggs progress and what did you hatch?
Love the last sequence of pictures with those goslings thoroughly enjoying the water, they look so active and healthy
Good luck everybody with your incubation and hatches
My next dewlap baby is currently zipping and is another boy. The other dewlap baby is not to far behind, but not sure if boy/girl yet. It's so hard to not open bator to peel the broken shell off to see what color its beak is..... but I'm trying to be patient.
they both hatch healthy and strong and the 3rd baby is a buff.
RG, I love the pics!! They are all so happy and healthy looking!!
Its an awful moment - so near now and all will be revealed. Be so nice if we both got Buffs together
If you're like me we were all will the last egg to be a Buff. When I first saw that purple coloured beak I couldn't believe it and then had to wait another hour before more was revealed and I was certain. Our little Buff's up and toddling about today, had a few chopped greens but has preference for starter crumbs
Best of luck with the next egg but great news you've got 2 healthy males and both valuable as split for buff
Thanks!!! My dewlap boy just finished hatching out and is as strong as can be! The other egg has started zipping, but I can't see color of beak yet. The suspense is killing me.... can't get ready to leave for work until I know it's hatched ok and whether it is a girl or boy.
All 13 eggs doing well. Really moving in the eggs, just lovely to see them! Cannot figure out what part is what inside the eggs.
Amazing and only 14 days in.
