I still have Dixie. I lost 2, Baby and Bubba. I would have probably completely quit if i had lost all 3. Dixie is going strong, she has a stuffed pig now to keep her company until the ones due this weekend come out. They are internally pipped right now. Im hoping she gets 3 new siblings.
I hope you have a great hatch,

I am so happy you still have Dixie..

The way to look at is that you've had 3 males and the odds have increased substantially for a Buff in the next eggs. I think out of the 6 eggs its something like 97.5% odds that there will be a Buff - pretty high odds there.

Also you've proved the pair and know they produce viable healthy goslings - a great start

Thanks! I like those odds!

they continue to hatch out so well!! They are a trio. So far, I have hatched the 1st two from Shimmer, who started laying first and these are her 3rd and 4th eggs laid. The other one hatched this morning is from Slate, and I believe it is her 2nd laid egg. Both have had close to 100% fertility, a few have quit along the way, but overall the strength of their development has been impressive. I have shipped close to 1/2 of the eggs from this trio to Jasmine (RiverGoddess) and I think she has had over 80% develop, and she just put her 1st pair of eggs from them into lockdown today.

Here are the new pair:

Mom was cleaning their brooder. This is a welsh harlequin from my last hatch and the gosling. Two more pips yesterday. Hopefully they will hatch by the end of the day.

I have two internal pips!! Wont be long my lil gosling wont be lonely. Im crossing fingers and praying nothing goes wrong with these last 3. I cant handle anymore loss in one week.

ALSO... I have my 12 duck eggs in with these goose eggs. My other incubator is full. I put the internally pipped eggs in strawberry containers to keep them from bumping into my ducks, the ducks are due May 2nd. With this staggered hatch, what about lockdown? I still have to turn my duck eggs.

I am surprised that my white girl, Patches, where those eggs came from, was fertilized by one of my brown ganders! I am guessing the dark one on the right is the girl and the lighter colored one is the boy?

I hope you have a great hatch,

X2!

I am enjoying everyones hatching goslings no matter what breed they are all just a cute as can be... Congrads to all the happy hatching.

Have 4 eggs that will go into lockdown April 26th. We shall see what happens with these eggs.
My last two hatches I gathered older eggs and with no good results at all... We shall see what happens with these 4. Then I have 4 more in another incubator that will be movd into the R-com after the ones due to hatch April 28th. Then will clean good and restart it for the next hatch. I have 4 other eggs in there 2 to hatch and then 2 to hatch. Not sure what will go on am waiting to see if these other 4 eggs are fertile or not.
Egg laying has slowed down to almost nothing. So I do believe my season might be coming to an end.

Good luck with the next set of eggs Barb though I wouldn't put them into lockdown until you've confirmed that they've internally pipped so you optimise weight loss. We'll be rooting for you and the eggs and sending Trans-Atlantic good vibes to you

Iain

Great results so far and just need to cross everything for the next Dewlaps that are due. The odds are well in your favour

What lovely pictures and some gorgeous goslings you have there. I'll bet you're thrilled to bits and well deserved.

Best of luck with those eggs and really hope you get some more babies soon

Another hatching on last night. He was hatched with 2 poults under my turkey hen. This was a dry hatch. I left this goose egg alone and didn't mist it at all during the incubation period.
