Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

Glad to see everyone's eggs are developing! I have my solo egg going strong on day 14, 5 eggs on day 7 and am going to set another 7 eggs tomorrow.

Any day now my dewlaps should start laying. I'm pretty sure at least my yearling buff girl Ginger will be fertile from the get go, as she is my 2yo alpha gander's girlfriend and they mate all the time. The rest are mated to yearling ganders, so who knows. Here are the happy couple:

I candled this morning while giving them a quick turn - looks like I have at least 5 going strong with more to set on Saturday, my problems going to be running out of room in the incubator - Purchased a dickey 2X2 last year and said that I would never fill it - Boy was I wrong.

Grassman, congrats on all the eggs! How many eggs does your bator hold?

I'm will have to stop setting African eggs after today to make sure I have room in my bator, because my first 2yo grey dewlap girl is laying an egg this morning! She is mated to one of my favorite dewlap ganders, who is dutifully standing over her. However, I won't be able to set her eggs yet because I have to separate my production pair from that yard today. But hope that in 7-10 days I'll have purebred grey dewlap hatching eggs.

The 5 eggs are due to hatch March 14th. So far are losing the proper amount of moisture each week. Candled them yesterday and you can not see the spider veins anymore just darkness with the air space.

On the other ten eggs They have spider veins on all of them so far. These are the ones where the incubator went off. So I hope they did not get cold to the core or I will have deformed goslings...... I will keep an eye on them to see if still growing. I am really worried about them since this happened.

Our one female Sarina (white curly) went broody on us finally after laying eggs since November. Her eggs are due to hatch if fertile on March 16th or 17th...

Our goose Ginger (grey saddleback curly) went broody this week a few days ago. I am going to leave eggs in the nest until I hatch the ones in the digital incubator. Then clean it and grab more and put them in there. Plus let the girls get clutches of egg and let them hatch the goslings. But I will take them away from them to raise with human care until I sell them. Of course will keep a few back here to see if I have any on colors I would like to keep. Mainly females. I have enough ganders..

your Buff gander is doing the job with the goose and the rest are all fertile and grow strong too.

We are quickly approaching our first dewlaps hatch date! Cant wait to see their round little fuzzy faces. Set the first eggs from the new dewlap pair who just arrived too. They had been breeding before shipping so
