Awesome! Got any pictures? I bought three older model GQF Sportsmans for $150.00 each. A friend of mine bought 11 of them from an auction, he had several hatchers but kept them all. However since I have three it's easy turn one into a hatcher if I need to.Well, I purchased an older 1200 series GQF incubator and hatcher today. Just like the ones I had before I got the new fangled ones last March. This pair is set up for larger eggs though!!!!
I had good success hatching my goose eggs with the other ones, so we'll see how it goes. I only paid $400 for the both of them. I figure I can get at least $600-$800 for them in the right location should things not work out with them.
Woo hoo- congrats Jean!
We might heading in that direction next year. I think DH is getting really sick of the hovabators all over the floor. I know my knees sure are!
We have 3 pips now. Its killing me. 2 of the eggs that were rocking like crazy (1 duck + one goose) have not moved or pipped since Friday I hope to have better news this afternoon![]()
ETA: 1 hatched and 3 pipped! Its really dark patterned. I can't wait til they're done so I can get pics!
Goslings not due to arrive until 3/26-28, but I've been hatching out my very first batch of khaki campbells this weekend.![]()
They did not want to hold still for photos, but they were very interested in the camera.
I've got 14 in the brooder, one drying out, one peeking out of a hole in the egg, and four more eggs with no action in the incubator. Today is day 28.
So, I'll have extras if anyone is looking. (We decided to hatch a few extra eggs for the Easter season).
