Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

Well, I had snuck 3 eggs under one of my muscovy girls and got a single hatch. The goose is still laying but not exactly ready to sit I think. Not sure if it's the 4 legged poultry wannabe quarter horse who has to nose in and see if the nesting material is edible. So, I'm working on restricting his movements. My gosling is 10-11 days old now and very demanding. Doesn't want to be held so much, but will hang between my feet when I take it outside and is going to be spoiled I'm sure. It has 3 chicks for company which climb on it's back to sleep.

Hi everyone, I'm going to join now even though my eggs are close to hatching. I have 3 embdens, 2 girls and 1 boy. They started laying in early January, I started collecting eggs for hatching in February, and then put 12 of them in the incubator on Feb 24th. Today is day 26 and there are 5 dancing babies going into lockdown. I'm so excited, I can't wait!

Thank you- going to try this with the next set. I only have one egg due next week, but in 2 weeks there are seven.

The first upside down one that is due tomorrow is almost zipped. The second just has a big hole on the underside of the pointy end so far. I hope its ok. At least I know it has air. 2 that did not make it last time had not pipped.

Yay for your first wrong way baby!! I hope your 2nd one makes it too!

Just put 9 more eggs in lockdown today. We shall see what happens on this hatch. Different incubator and I have hand turned them and ran them pretty dry and now have two small bowls of water on the top shelf and all the eggs on a bottom shelf with a clean wash cloth to keep them from rolling.

Brought in 10 more eggs from different nest all marked on which nest. Just put them in earlier this week. Will be a few more days until I check for spider veins.
On these I took eggs from Hanna curly grey SB, from our Nesie white smooth, Vanessa white curly and Gloria our curly grey.
