Before lockdown temp was 99.9° and 30% humidity. I sprayed them once daily and air cells looked good. Thanks for the encouragement, Pete

Hi Mystil. Just stick with daily cooling as this encourages healthy development. No need for longer. Weight loss can be slowed with higher humidity.

So all of my Seb eggs had externally pipped when I woke up this morning (two pipped yesterday and one in the night). This is my first gosling hatch. I'm glad I'm at work today so I am forced to keep my hands off them. Should I expect them to complete the hatch within 24 hrs of external pip?

My next pair of goose eggs are on day 23 and I am seeing them moving and the air cells are starting to dip. I've been running my bator between 16-23% the past week and cooling and misting 1-2x daily, since the last gosling didn't lose enough moisture. I'm really nervous since I so badly want my 1st dewlap egg to hatch!

Thanks! I'm nervous, too, because I'm pretty sure that's what happened to my last batch of ducklings. I still had a pretty good hatch, but I lost a couple. I hope you get your 1st dewlap!

Hi Lori. I suspect the eggs had not lost sufficient moisture. What was your humidity before lockdown? Did the aircells appear large enough?

So sorry but we all learn and you've got 2 babies to prove you're on the right road. Well done.

Are we suppose to be maintaining a 50% humidity? I thought we should do 20-25 %? That may explain some of my problems, I've got 4 goslings so far and 1 pip. I think the rest are not going to pip and may be DIS
