Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

It finally happened! Day 33 and my new Americanizationization Buff pair has finally hatched some goslings. Think I'm seeing 3 goslings out of 6 eggs but not going to terrorize the pair by trying to peek at them when they'll be bringing them out to show off in the next day or so. Just sitting here at work worrying about whether momma knows how to keep babies dry and secure. Its been raining buckets out there all day! Of course

Congrats on the hatch, look forward to pics..

They have a shelter and refuse to use it. I do have the pair of 3 week old sebbies which I had thought about switching out with the newbies but forgot how fast they grow. I just dont think mamma will be fooled by the 2 little e

Arrrh bless.
I have three goslings under a brood. Hatched over last night. They come out to see us but Mean Bird (the broody bantam) is not happy about this! Already had a cheeky cuddle with two of them.

Also have two external pipping in the incubator aswell and afew more rocking. Im so happy. Everyone I have spoken to has said incubating eggs is not any good as they have not had any sucess themselves.

Well you prove them wrong on the bator issue. and Congrats on the gosling under broody.

So far it's still alive but I don't know for how long... I wish Pete would get on here and explain what all this fluid is from and what it is exactly...I guess it's like amniotic fluid but it's really weird and it makes the yolk sac take forever to absorb (if you can get it to before the little one dies). It's almost like it's a premature hatch or something but it's not...it's day 30. Weird...

I have no idea, but really curious too ! BIG

The two Adonis eggs hatched, one was breech and came out on it's own! Two of three Gary eggs have hatched and only one of the Valentino eggs made it.

So, waiting on one more Gary egg. All of the eggs that made it to the hatcher dried down very nicely.

Make sure you are cooling your eggs every day!!!!! Some of my bigger eggs are not drying down, so I am going to get a dremmel and put a tiny hole in the top of the egg sometime after two weeks. I may be consulting Pete to get his opinion.
Glad to hear you have Goslings! Never to many pics

We have 2 new goslings which hatched out Sunday and Monday. So here are my Hanna and Nikki goslings the looks to be Blue saddleback. Now there is a grey gosling and I am not sure if I can get grey gosling from grey saddleback female and a solid lavender gander? If you can then this grey is their gosling as well. If not I know it would be Ginger and Sammie goslings, Ginger grey saddleback and Sammie white.
Anyway here are the two babies.

Luvly babies!

I also had 8 eggs shipped that I set on 4/13 that I got from Utah & 6 developed !!!

And look like good prospects of hatching! They are 3 Slate/Shimmer eggs, 1 African, and 2 Fritter eggs (I don't think you have posted pics of Beignet?) Who is her BF again?

Thats not bad numbers for shipped eggs, yet Utah is a Master Packer
