Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

Here is Thunder and Stormy. Stormy has black legs and pink feet. Thats him stretched out. Its hot here because of the humidty after the rain. I think thats why hes stretched out, because he walks fine and doesnt have spraddle legs. He also has yellowish white wings and belly and the top half of his bill is black and the bottom half is pink. He is brown chinese x white chinese. Im not sure if its a boy or girl though. I think he might be pied. Anyone else think he is a pied?

Sorry for the delay, still learning the ropes on this but if I'm honest two of the three ganders, are really smart, we have one who is real runt twisted tail, scabby feathers, we think he got bullied by the others, but he ironically is dad as far as I can work out to the 12 goslings we now have, (3 more hatched since we last spoke) His condition concerned us so much in the winter we even had the vet out, who could find nothing wrong with him. The original 5 adults, came with the house when we moved here last year.

The issue we have is the 5 adults are very boisterous, we can only get near them if we herd them into the shed, they don't even like being locked in at night. We suspect the foxes have decided that the adults are just too mad to handle. Hence the wish to rear some goslings which are much calmer and enjoy being cuddled.
I'm sure that if the goslings are good enough we could show them, but I fear the elders would just wreck any where they were taken.

I've included two shots, one showing part of the paddock and pond, which they share with 5 chickens, mallards and Moorhens, which nest in the willow tree in the pond, and the other is the five elder geese the runt is at the back. Oh and re your later parrot comment, I used to own a very lovely Red lored Amazon.

My first two dewlap boys made it safely to Washington. It took 25 hours from drop off to arrival. Yay USPS for super fast shipping.

I just finished hatching out 4 (out of 5) chicks for my friend. They are cute little buggers! My friend has already come and gotten them, and is very happy!

I had to race to clean out my hatcher and am waiting for it to get back up to temperature because I have two eggs saved from Peanut's nest looking to internally pip today, with another 1-2 not far behind. One of my two dewlap eggs quit yesterday on day 25, but the other one looks pretty good. Fortunately I have two more dewlap eggs set 4 days behind this set and 10 more developing.

for a buff girl!

My first ever white gosling has hatched. Not sure if its a tufted or white chinese yet. I cant see into the hatcher that well. Another white is on the way also.
My chicken that was setting on the goose egg jumped ship today. i heard the gosling peeping strong so i rushed the egg to the house and put it in the hatcher.

Hatching is going well in the incubator with this batch of Welsh Harlequins finishing up today (looks like 8 little quackers this time around) and the Embdens seem to be progressing nicely.

Meanwhile on the back 40, I checked on my scovy girl on her nest and was alarmed to see several broken eggshells and the dog running away from the scene.

Much to my relief, however, the broken eggshells were from all the babies that she had finally hatched out.

It would seem that the puppy was just checking in on the ducklings. She loves muscovies, for some reason. They groom each other and she watches over them while they swim, keeping away the other drakes.
