A magpie is a small scavenger bird that is closely related to crows. They are quite common in my area, but I never thought they could be a threat, as they are usually content to eat grain out of my geese's feed bowls.

Are you kidding me? WOW that is scary. Our black crows are about that size and also steal grain and unattended eggs but NEVER thought of them as a threat to adult birds. Can birds catch rabies? How in the world can you protect the others from them?
