Ha ha. I use to pull the covers over my wife's head but stooped when she threw up under them once. Buy that was a big fight. She was MAD.

Gathering, Setting and Incubation. Set on sept 3rd 2011 at 7:30pm Australian EST

how many are ya'll setting? 64 coturnix

what kind of bator ya'll got? Rcom20

incubation tips? make sure the eggs rotate nicely

lockdown day? Day 14

humidity? when I started my bator the thing said 70... so its a dry hatch of 30 but I read somewhere that rcoms are humidity readings are higher than what is said.

think back to your first Quail hatch, what have you learned? They poo alot- beg for newspaper.

Would like to know timing of year
did it rain on your hatch day? It was cloudy, clouds brewing but not beer.

Parent stock fed on 22% protein feed
Some eggs were wiped / washed to the point where the spots came off.
Rcom20 incubator had the eggs closest to window hatch first last time
Checked temp with glass thermometre but show up the same 36.5C on the machine but gets just under 100F glass themometre.
Using cardboard to hold eggs in and to protect them from me if I drop the lid.
Eggs collected for a period of 9 days
Left hand side has fresher eggs
right hand side has washed eggs
middle has normal egg collection

I have no more room. Thinking of auctioning off eggs this week. Maybe quail and chicken combined. I can't believe I don't have more space. OH well I have another hatch due the 7th, so just sell the eggs untill then. Might even help a bit with feed money.

Yippee ! 25 More quail eggs came in the mail today and my girls laid one more, so add 26 to my total! Plus I set a tray of chicken eggs, 4 dozen, and I am getting ready to put in another tray, got some lavender orps, silkie eggs and mystery eggs on the monthly swap.

well my batch that are due on the 5th are starting, i see little cracks! gonna make for a restless night of sleep lol, can't wait to see what colors hatch!
