Ugh, yes - a hundred times yes!
Little buggers always think its a cool idea to jump right in - I swear, I must have gotten ducks for banties! I usually put fishbowl stones in my brooder waterers, so they can't fall in (or jump in, as they do) and get deathly cold. My chicken trough is the worst though, two gallon feeders for 20 babies up on 4x4" blocks and they still kick shavings in like little star athletes. I'm having to change the waterers in the trough and the brooder paper easily three times a day.
