Lets see your Egyptians (plus pinioning pics on page 3)

don't get me wrong, I love the Egyptian geese and plan on getting more in the future. Just have to have a secure fence to keep them away from the other animals.

They are simply gorgeous. I have never seen the whites before though. The colour of the goslings is exquisite. You never cease to amaze me with the wonderful photos of your birds and other animals that you post here on this site.

I have a question. If you had a flock of ducks/geese...along with maybe a pair or two on a very nice sized pond, would the Egyptians still break the eggs of the other ducks and geese? What if you housed the domestics together and had a seperate house for the Egyptians with nesting areas in each?

WE have NEVER had Egyptians break eggs of other ducks and geese. Infact we have one nest in the corner of the duck barn that a white egyptian, cackler and buff goose all laid eggs in together.

We have 12 breeding pairs of Egyptians and a few yearling pairs. Each pair has their own personality and level of aggressiveness. They get along with other geese and ducks most of the year. During breeding season they will chase smaller ducks or muscovies that come into the pairs territory. Seperating them during breeding season if they get aggressive is best.
