Lets talk about goats!

No everytime Stetson pushes his way in coop while I'm checking on Ford, Ford kinda turns away. Hoping when he gets stronger and Stetson gets castrated (should have done it awhile ago but the guy that was going to show us how was always busy. Vet is going to do it next week) that it'll be better. Going to give him another shot in a bit. Hoping it'll help even more.

Yes I think that will help a lot!! My bucklings (soon to be weathered) are SO pushy :barnie

Glad to hear it's helping. Keep probiotics in him too, and make sure he has had his first dose of copper. Copper deficiency will make them really sick and lathargic.

She said she did it but.... is that something I can do myself? And will it hurt him if I do it and he already had it.

Many goat people treat for copper deficiency without making sure the goats are truly copper deficient. The symptoms of copper deficiency and copper toxicity are very similar. Too much copper is toxic and irreversible and fatal.

I treat my own but I play it safe until I know each animal. I have a doe who gets really deficient in the spring cause she is older and doesn't shed out well so she gets more than the others. I recommend asking the vet what they think you should do. You can give too much and kill them.

Okay just going to keep doing b for now. Hes actually eating the minerals I put out now so that might help. Pretty much doing a vet visit every week between the two so I'll talk to him. Ford seems okay today. Still a little out of it. Not sure if I should give more b in each shot. Brought him into a over run garden where he can hang in sun thats finally out and can see greens everywhere so he doesn't get himself into trouble. He seems to be standing straighter but still kinda walks in circles. No holding his head against wall in 24 hrs though.

Keep giving him the B vitamins!! This is one of the few cases when too much is a lot better than too little if he has polio. Google goat polio and see what you find.
