I have heard predators are a real threat to small livestock like goats but so far I haven't had a problem with predators and the goats. The only real predator threats for the goats I have here in my town are loose dogs and I never see any(responsible dog owners Im guessing) and coyotes and I have never seen one though neighbors say they have seen them. I do not have livestock dogs just plain jane house dogs lol. I do not have a door to the goat house yet(I had planed on one just havent got to it and now winter is here, I know not an excuse). So far so good though. I only had a problem one time during the summer where something got 4 of my rooster in 2 nights but it only took their heads.
4 does and 1 buck. I have to kids that are male and a baby girl now too though.
coyotes have taken the heads of my chickens they scare them at every side of the coop all barking making a noise the chickens get scared they try to escape by attempting to squeeze threw the fence the coyotes run around biting the heads off. it actually happened to my guinea hens
