I always heard clover was good for goats like it is for chickens did I get some bad information somewhere?

Can anyone tell me what breed these babies are? We were told they were Saanen, but I doubt it.

nope Saanens are all white if a pure bred they look kind of like Alpines but I could be wrong still new to this.

I'm hoping to get my first kiddlings in about a month or so. I keep hearing people taking them in the house for a while and I kind of want to do this also as they will be small and I do have predators around that I am not sure if they can get to. Any suggestions? Someone mentioned that they had their kid in their bed, not me but maybe a dog crate for a while. But in the house can you train them to go potty outside like a puppy? What do you do about the mess. I am always hearing about people who have babies in the house.

and I don't think it would be possible to potty train goats but I have heard of people putting diapers on their goats to have them inside. I'm not sure how this works or if it would be a good idea. Maybe you could bring them in for a couple hours but full time might be a handful. Goats love to climb and I could easily see them jumping on the dinner table or trying to eat something hazardous to them. If you do decide to do this make sure you keep a close eye on them and even though they are small as kids they can still be destructive.

I have a bottle baby at the moment, and we keep her inside our kitchen (which has tiled floors). She sleeps in a dog crate at intervals during the day, and let me tell you, it gets STINKY.

But she is adorable.

Hmmm ... At most today is day 134.

So she finished discharging that bit and I "tucked her in" for the night. Decided not to take any chances and went to check on her again. She had another glob, longer this time, hanging out. However, though I am able to touch fingers to thumb around her tail head, I do still feel her ligaments. Guess she's just going to be "gooey" a lot leading up to delivery.

That happened with mu goats a day or 2 before she kidded!
