The pronunciation probably does vary with different accents and languages. There are different accents in the recordings below the top one in that link, I am sure this breed name confuses many people!Something I completely forgot. Uccle is in Belgium, so wouldn't the Dutch pronunciation be also different from the French? I guess the Mille Fluer part would remain the same across both languages...but what about the "of Uccle" part

I'm not sure why anyone would want to name a chicken breed with such a difficult name!It seems that there can't be anyone that could agree even in its country if origin. As a bilingual country, how would they go about establishing that. Very confusing it seems

Maybe this guy never thought the breed would become popular enough to ever leave the municipality, the name being known to locals only.
