She said he was worried I’d want to become a boy, he doesn’t really understand the concept of more than two genders. She also said he was sad he didn’t have a daughter anymore, which I get but I’m still the same person, just a different name and pronouns. Haven’t talked to him yet bc he’s not back from work yet
What is the name you go by now?

Not going into what happened but we lost a cat. She at least lived to 7 years old.
I just lost my cat in May. I found some old pictures of her today and it made me cry. I miss her so much. Sending hugs as you begin to deal with this loss. :hugs

The thing that upsets me the most, is the fact that she went missing for 3 days before her body was found. She had a lot of health issues so we tried to give her the best life possible. The main issue was her heart condition.

Cats usually find someplace away from home when they know its their time to go.

Hyla, but I go by Bala at school (my middle name) cuz it's easier for my parents for me to be called something they named me
You should change your username to "Hylaschicks" or "Balaschicks" I feel like less people would assume you're a girl that way.

I know a woman whose daughter transed to male. (If that's not the way to say it, PLEASE tell me. I don't mean to insult anyone, just don't know how to put these things.)

He chose a name that starts with the same syllable as the name given at birth, so mom sometimes slips up. They discussed this, and both understood the other's point of reference. So mom calls him by his chosen middle name, since it is easier for her to make that transition.

She put it well when she said, "I support him, totally. I want him to be happy. He understands it's a transition for me too."

Hoping all goes well. It's a lot for a Dad to hear but keeping lines of communication open is really important. :hugs :hugs

Sounds like a good compromise.
When you're of age you can legally change it to waht ever you want.
