I am too! Finally got bored of waiting for broodies to hatch Kolovos's children, so I'm taking things into my own hands. Best case scenario, Cruella or Ursula have gone broody by hatching day, because I'd rather they raise the chicks that me, I figure they'd be better parents :p . But if not, I bought a brooder plate, BYC sold me completely on brooder plates

Broodies....broody when you don't want them to be, not broody when you do! :gig

Definitely stuff chicks under any broodies you may have when the time comes. Something about a real momma grows healthier chicks. However brooder plates are fabulous to use, closest thing to a real mom!

That's what I'm hoping for, strong chicks. As future free rangers, they need to be strong physically and mentally, so I'm hoping a broody can provide that

Broodies can teach them things that we can't, things we don't even know or see. We can't compete with nature!
