Small question as a Greek who has only visited NYC. Why does Google say the name of the island is Mackinac?

When did you come to New York City? I've never been there.

Oh good grief, humans can be pigs! I have never lived in a big city, small small towns and villages only, I'd be terrified to go to a place like that. Although I try to avoid humanity all together anyway, so...

Agreed. I grew up in the 'burbs and lived in Ottawa most of it. Ottawa may be a large city, but it has a small city feel to it (except the downtown core). Still, I couldn't wait to get out of there and to the middle of nowhere!

Yes middle of nowhere has my name on it. I can't live anywhere else, I just don't fit in anywhere else.

This is true on the border issue, couldn't he get a visa or a green card for a while and apply for citizenship? I really don't know what's involved in crossing borders however.
