I really enjoyed keeping them, if I was only able to keep one species of poultry, I might choose quail over chickens!

Then how did you get out of quail, if you don't mind me asking?

I wasn't able to get my ducklings yesterday so I'm meeting the lady right now to pick them up.
Photos will taken later after work. I only have enough time to drop them off then leave for work

That kid knew who was in control, and it wasn't the adults.

Yup. He's learning at a young age how to get his way. He might become a REAL handful in a few years.

I don't buy the "she's just a child!" about the kicking of the seat in the theater, either. Had I been sitting behind the parents and watching this scenario unfold, I would probably have started kicking their seats.

Oh I don't mind! A several years ago I decided to let them all live out their lives, no more hatching and such. I just had SO much going on at the time with not only quail but chickens, goats, indoor parrots, dogs, I just had to pare out some of these creatures. I had kept quail for a about 12 years, chickens needed more space... so quail got the boot! (goats did too.) After of course my last quail boy passed on. ❤

Yes you can put duck eggs under a chicken! Just maybe not muscovy...

Kill the poor hen having to sit there for 35 days!!!

I was considering them! But then I decided on runner ducks instead and I can’t remember why are they good for eating slugs?
