Hopefully you and chickens stay safe! They wander through here occasionally every summer, usually late afternoon, early evening or at night. Chickens have always been in the coop and not out free ranging thankfully. I always worry a bear will rip through the run and destroy the coop, chickens and all, I've gotten lucky so far!
Yes I would imagine your hives would attract bears, they love the sweet stuff. I've had bears on the porch destroying my hummingbird feeders, waking me up in the middle of the night!
