Hmm, weirdly that has never been my experience. I'm more wary of scaredy cat cockerels, than friendly ones

If you figure out a way let me know. I always end up with one like this (which inevitably tries to poke my eyes out).

Exactly why I need to correct this behavior before it goes anywhere.

Just put him on the ground when he lands on you. He'll learn it's not a roosting place. That's what I do with most of my males. I have one I cart around like a purse dog, but he's a specific individual that I've raised almost a year
