Those look BIG! How big were they?
Most of the wild Taraulas are about 14 cm from from leg to back legs, they're pretty big!
Wow, that is amazing! I wish!
Obviously there are no tarantulas here - I live in Scotland but am Swedish - but it would be so fantastic to see them in the wild. <3
I love to see creatures in their natural habitat, especially these big spiders. I will just stand by and watch them crawl.....so fascinating! ♥️

Haha! Brings me back to a previous post - mealworms and how they stink! 🤢
I also spook myself frequently by leaving fresh spider molts out to dry on my kitchen counter, and they move in the draft of wind as I walk past making me panic thinking I have tarantulas on the loose!

OK you just gave me a new fear!

Yes the Mammillia group is just so interesting to me, some of them have the most interesting spine configurations! I am hooked on this group now. 🤣

It's a great group! There's some pretty sophisticated and rare mammillaria out there, but at the same time, even the most common ones are SO pretty!

Holy Crow .... What a change!! That little one looks SO cute though! 🥰 But wow! Have you ever been bitten? :D
No, no bites. I am very careful with the ones I know to have a sharp prey response. I will not handle them at all, and just in general only handle when I transfer them between enclosures and if they seem to be in a gentle mood.
In scottish: You don'ne **** aboot with the giant spood in the mood. 😁

Yup! Sometimes you even forget they have spines! I've probably been pricked by my mammillaria more than I have my barrel cactus!
There is a wild Mammillia cactus that sprouted up this year, I see him on my walk every day, he is so cute! I will get a photo when I walk that way next. 😊
