Lice

I’ve sprayed them down tonight and was sure to rub the stuff into their feathers after, since it was misted on it dried pretty evenly and quickly after being distributed throughout their feathers, let’s hope this stuff works! I’m pretty sure I’ll have to spray around 7 days again (correct me if I’m wrong on this) to kill any new lice, I might even do it again after another 7 days or however much is needed if I still see some :)

Did you spray it onto their skin?
Yes, 7-10 days.

To some extent the spray worked I checked some of my birds this morning, I still saw a few on some of them :( just a few not a lot, I guess i didn’t spray enough, the bottle I used was more of a mister than a hard spray it was easy to spray the birds that would allow it at night, others would run around, I had to pick each one up and spray but I guess I forgot to spray under the wings and vent how terrible of me! It’s all in a learning process though, so since it seemed I somewhat didn’t get them all would I need to spray again tonight or wait 7 days before doing anything? Thank you.

You could go out and spray all their vents.
Hold the nozzle very close to the skin and give a squirt.

@aart gives great advice!

I am going through my first mite infestation so know what you are feeling.

Under the wings close to the joint is a key place to spray yes.
Ok thanks I’ll be sure to try again tonight and be sure to spray under the wings and vent and hopefully it can kill the ones I saw so hopefully there’s just eggs, cause I know the lice are basically living off my chickens thankfully none of them are showing bad signs yet which is why I’m trying to get rid of as many as possible before the eggs hatch

Ok I’ve sprayed everyone down even the ones who’d usually run away, I had to hold those ones tight while they got sprayed so fingers crossed this time it’ll get them, only one I didn’t spray was our week old silkie chick, so hopefully he/she doesn’t get them I don’t think they will since I’m treating them all

Is the chick with broody mama that you sprayed?
Did you see any egg clusters at the base of feather shaft around the vents?
I'm assuming you googled some images for reference.
