Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

River shrugged. "She hated me since I was born, he always loved me."
Eva responded sympathetically, "I'm sorry about that River." She added after some silence, which allowed her to think some more, "That'll most likely make you a better mother, because you realized how important a mother's love is, since you never had it in the first place."

(No problem, I'm making dinner so my post is short, too.)
Persepolis looked down, embarrassed at her stupidity, "Long story short, I was attempting to climb this huge rock wall. 50 feet tall. It was almost completely smooth but I thought I could do it. I managed to get to the top but had completely exhausted before I could pull myself over the edge." Persepolis paused, her cheeks reddening at her own stupidity, "My legs gave out and I lost all of my footings. I only barely caught myself. A drop from that height would have been too fast for me to use my wings but more than enough to kill me." Persepolis mumbled, clearly disappointed in herself, "I'm an idiot. I should have listened to you."
Luna didn't answer right away. It took time for her to process what Persepolis was telling her. She had just admitted she had been wrong, and she would've never expected that. Maybe because she probably would've been self-accountable herself. Because her heart would've been cold. Luna sighed, before responding tiredly "Don't worry. The important thing is that you're alive and well, and that you know what to not do next time." She offered her a tired smile, which was genuine, even though she was distressed on the inside about what had happened. Luna added softly, not wanting to start a lenghty conversation, "And I don't think you're an idiot. You were just trying to train for the world we find ourselves in."

River simply shrugged it off. "Don`t be." She paused, ad sighed. "Hopefully. I never want to be like her."

Persepolis smiled bleakly, "Yeah. At least I'm still alive." Persepolis silently added, for now. She knew she wouldn't live forever. She just hoped that she'd die later rather than sooner.
Persepolis pulled her trench coat tighter around her body only to release it, realizing that tightening the cloth was revealing the presence of the two new guns lashed to her belt. Persepolis turned towards Luna and said in a gentle voice, "I can tell that you're distraught. Is there anything you'd like to talk about?"
Inside her head, Persepolis was self-destructing. She didn't know what to do with herself now. She couldn't trust herself after her stupidity and now she was a heartless thief, having stolen guns from a wounded man.

Eva giggled softly, before responding good-naturedly "I guess it can't be thattt bad to have your own bodyguard."
"Maybe, but it is when he wants to go with you every where, know about every breath you took, and stare at your stomach ever single second. Last night he tried to have me step back from most leader duties so that I can 'relax and carry'." River laughed. "But, I guess, it ain`t too bad."

Luna saw the clear outline in the clothes of her friend, and knew she hadn't told the entire story. With somewhat of a disapproving look, she asked her friend, looking her dead in the eyes, "What are those guns doing there?" She knew something had happened. And Luna wasn't angered, she simply wanted to know the whole truth. Her judgement could wait until the whole story had been told, and so could their conversation about what bothered her. Luna could easily be misunderstood here, for being angered at Persepolis, but in reality, she was just concerned for the welfare of her friend above anything else. And she knew Persepolis hated guns, and she didn't picture her wielding one. Something else had to be going on.

Eva laughed out loud, enjoying their carefree conversation. She responded with an entertained tone, "He really loves you then." After the wave of humor passed over her, she suddenly realized something. She commented thoughtfully, but in a manner that wouldn't stir up a heated debate, "But you also need your space. Everyone does." Eva looked to River, hoping she hadn't caused any conflict. She had found a respect for the Aves at the cabin, and wanted them to be able to trust and respect her.
