Xylo replied simply "You are.", smiling as he walked past her, joking of course. He set the deer outside to wait for Stephen to wake up. He could skin smaller animals like rabbits, but he was unfamiliar with deer and such. After that, he walked back to River, pleased with his little joke earlier.
Persepolis carefully considered her answer, taking her time. "I should have been banished, but I wasn't. I left because I feared that if I stayed and was found out, I would suffer more than you guys did." She wasn't sure how much she should tell this girl.
River squinted at him. "I stand to oppose that." She said slyly. She glanced at some chattering sparrows then looked back to him.
Xylo shook his head, replying back "Well I stand to oppose that you are opposing that." He offered a rare smile, before asking conversationally "Did you sleep well? You seemed tired yesterday."
Luna nodded, knowing the girl wasn't going to cough up everything to a stranger. She asked in a hushed voice, knowing that some of the more expected candidates to win were awake, "Who'd you vote for as leader from what you've seen so far."
"I agree to disagree." River said. "Sleep? Yes. Well? Now that`s a whole different subject."
Persepolis thought about it for a minute, then answered very quietly, "Probably River. From what I've seen so far, she has been able to get the others moving, and keep everyone responsible for each other. Everyone else just seems to follow her lead."
Xylo joked "I know. I had to start a new subject because we had already put to rest that you were the bigger showoff, Ms. River." He moved some of his hair off of his face, parting it so it fell backwards.
Xylo nodded, after replying to River "That'd be great Stephen. It's a great help, having a butcher around." He would go talk to him later, he thought. Stephen was underappreciated in his opinion.
