Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

Xylo did not meet her eyes. He was looking down at the floor, his eyes pensive and somewhat worried. He had never expected to have to banish someone, not Horius even. He had been Horius’ friend, and now he betrayed his friendship to the will of the majority. But Horius deserved it; he had put them all in danger, respecting no one but his deceased mother. Xylo suspected Horius might not even respect his own self...
River stared at him for a second, her eyes sharp. Did we really do what was right? Or... Have we some how faulted? She blinked. I knew something was going to happen concerning Horius. I just never thought the tide would rise so fast. She bit her lip.
She looked away from him, her eyes had turned far away, and her face was an odd mix of confusion and disdain.

Horius nodded, satisfied with the man’s response, before responding “When I was eight, I was human. I was not born an Aves. I was an only child, and I lived in the woods in a small cabin with my mother and father. One night, my mother returned an Aves, with wings of a goldfinch. They were beautiful. But my father didn’t think so. He only saw envy, jealousy, rage. He murdered her there, in front of me, while I tugged and pulled at him, too weak to stop him. Eventually, my mother screamed and cried for me to run away. Which I did, hearing her screams in the night.” His emotions becoming more apparent, he hissed “I was weak then, but now I am strong.” After the somewhat short explanation, he looked upon Stephen, looking for sympathy, hatred, admiration. Looking for something.

"I- I'm so sorry Horius." Stephen said, his eyes full of sympathy.

Luna smiled, responding with a snicker “The caveman couple. It’s beautiful.” She rolled on the bed laughing, in a tone that assured Persepolis she was just joking, just teasing. In reality she was very happy for Persepolis’ sake.
"You're so ridiculous, you know that?" Persepolis told Luna, clearly joking. "I don't see you complaining about the caveman couple bringing home food though," she pointed out to Luna in a friendly tone.

Horius nodded, appreciative of his compassion, before adding emotionless “That’s why I do it. To honor her and prove that I could’ve saved her.” He sat down on a rock, holding all his belongings under his hand. He was leaving.

Luna laughed more at that, before sobering up, responding “No. I’m not, so thank you Caveman Couple.” That drew a few more snickers from her, even though she really was appreciative.

Xylo nodded. It had to be done. He holstered his gun and made sure he had his knives. With a sudden movement, he opened the window, and flew off in the direction where Horius had headed, remembering just then he had brought his belongings. He had to speak with him for a last time.

(Are we doing the River and Horius fight eventually? Sorry, just curious.)
River watched him go. The idiot forgot about his own rule. She shifted and flew after him, lighting down in a branch and concealing herself in a shadow so that he wouldn`t see her.

Horius nodded, responding “Very well. Tell Hector I said bye. He never did anything either. I won’t do anything to you.” He have a dip of his head as a solemn farewell, staring upon the butcher that held his secrets.
