Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

Xylo kept brushing away her tears, eventually playing a comforting kiss on her forehead. He whispered "I'm so sorry River." He couldn't say anything else, words couldn't explain her severe pain. He simply held her closer to him, letting her find whatever comfort she could find in him. His remnants of friendship with Horius had been broken. He had caused so much hurt in his woman, and he would find him and get his revenge.
River shivered, her head thudding in pain, her gut twisting. She laided her head against Xylo's chest.
Out of her pain, she could sense Xylo's own emotions, his pity for her, and his need for revenge. Revenge from Horius.
She knew he wanted it, but it would tare him apart. She knew Horius was basically his brother, and that she had tore them apart. And that she might have just done it all over. But that wasn't her fault, was it? Horius had done this, and it was her friend and mother who was dead.
Finally, she stopped crying, her eyes sealed to Horius's feather.

Luna crouched next to her, waiting for her queue to shift before doing so. She cranes her head slightly, before preening some of her feathers to pass the like. Occasionally, she would turn her head to catch a look at Persepolis, waiting for a signal before the attacked.
Persepolis reached down, slowly and silently clicking the safety into the on position for both guns lashed at her hips. She didn't want them accidentally misfiring. Moving very very slowly, she carefully inched her machete out of its halter. She held it laying flat across her torso, ready for action. She looked at Luna and pointed out a large doe that was standing just five feet away from them. Using hand signals, she signalled that Luna should move around the deer, directly across from her. She held up one fist, symbolizing the deer, and held up her other hand in the shape of an L, for Luna. She made the L "run" at the deer and moved the fist symbolizing the deer towards her. When her first reached her torso, she silently tapped the machete.
The plan was clear. Luna would spook the doe and flush it towards Persepolis. Persepolis would try to kill it with her machete, or at least severely wound it. She pointed at Luna's knives and caught her eye. She mouthed, "You'll need those when the deer reaches me."

Persepolis crouched low and waited for Luna to take the position.

Xylo held her tightly as she shivered, trying to comfort her and, in the process, calm his own emotions. He looked around them, before returning his gaze to River, deeming it was safe to talk. He studied her facial expressions as she cried into him, noticing she felt conflicted towards the end. With a gentle yet assertive voice, Xylo stated “You do not need to feel sorry. He has done something which I don’t even have words for. And if you did split us apart, thank you.” His words were strong and confident. Xylo had no more compassion for Horius, all of it devoted to his partner, the one who bore his child. He continued softly, in a more calm and explanatory tone, “You are the most special woman in the world, and my heart is broken to see you cry. Youre my partner, we’re having a child together. Thats much more important than my friendship with a murderer.” To emphasize his point, Xylo knelt on one knee, looking up at her to make sure she understand his words were true and nothing else but true.

Luna nodded, and with the smallest sigh of concentration, she began levitating, hidden by the brush, not making a sound as she didnt touch the ground and all the twigs and leaves on it. It took her a full minute to get into position, but she hdn’t made a single noise while doing so, which was the inherent goals. She glanced over to where Persepolis stood, making sure she was ready, before bursting out of the brush, scaring the doe so that it ran right towards Persepolis. With a silent hum, all her knives surrounded her, ready to pierce the deer’s brain once Persepolis did her part.

Persepolis watched Luna as she levitated into position. She crouched, spring-loading her legs. She saw Luna spook the doe and she lifted her machete, ready to take it on. The doe came at her full speed. At the last second, the doe saw Persepolis and reared up, striking at Persepolis with her front legs. Persepolis rolled out of the way. She quickly sprung up, pointing her machete forward and plunging it at the doe's chest with all her force. She landed her mark, sinking the machete into the doe's chest. She released her machete, surrendering it to the body of the deer. She called out to Luna, "Now!" Persepolis stepped back a few feet, getting out of range of the doe's kicks.

Luna calmly witnessed everything that happened, still keeping her focus on the doe’s head. When Persepolis called out to her, she shot the knives forward, guiding the blades into the doe’s head with her powers. Every single one of them hit their mark, creating a crown of death upon the doe’s head, marking it as dead forever, save for a few last twitches as her body shut down. Luna walked up to Persepolis with an accomplished smile, before adding enthusiastically, elated to have food once again, “Good job, that plan was perfect.” She looked around at the emptiness left by the deer who had scattered, the desolate mood setting in to herself as well.

(I'm sorry, but this is not going to be a long post XD)
River watched him as he spoke, her eyes thankful and compassionate. She stared at him as he went down to one knee, to prove his words to her. "Get up, Please." She whispered. She smiled weakly down at him, to show she understood and that she was comforted by him.

Persepolis watched Luna take down the deer. When Luna spoke to her, she smiled and responded, "Thanks. I'm glad we have food now." She looked around, scanning the trees for anyone who wasn't supposed to be there. Seeing nothing, she walked over to the lifeless deer and reached down, yanking her machete out of its chest and sheathing it at her hip. She asked Luna, "Want me to carry it back?" She waited for an answer from her friend, the silence seeping into her.

(That’s fine I’m not judging XD)
Xylo got up, albeit slowly. Her smiled gave him comfort even though he knew it had been somewhat forced. River was clearly still affected by all of this, and he had to continue to be by her side. With a compassionate look, he embraced, stroking her hair in efforts to comfort her furthermore.
