Life from the Parsonage - A Journal of our Journey.

Thank you. Pictures are important to me for many reasons...obviously the first for memories, but 2nd...I don't live close to my family and voila', snap a picture email it and they see what's happening almost instantly!

I love webcam sessions with my Mom....the young'uns running around behind, waving, ya know...general bedlam, and the whole time she's just enjoying watching. Technology has lots of bugs...but some of it is wonderful!

I've been trying to figure this camera out...can't even set the date yet..everytime I think it's set, it rolls back to another date....
th.gif

But, it's taking pics. So I'm gonna keep at it.

Ozark, wish you could come to Branson tomorrow night! Our church group is going to see the Shepherd of the Hills show.
I've seen it...well, lot's...but none of them have.
So, I've got to finish the housework (
hide.gif
) pack, and bake some snacks...I've had request for my cornflake delights, Parson's cookies, and...oh well, I'm just going to make a few...
barnie.gif
Have ya'll seen the clock!!
ep.gif

Gotta go! Been playing way to long with my camera!
Ya'll come

Oh, Gwen, love the pics of the ducks!! I would be totally lost without the camera!!
so sorry, but we really cannot make the run to Branson. I have never seen the play but have the book. They also have the story of Noah's Ark down there and the stage wraps around the audience since the Ark is so big. I would love to see that, too.
When you said you had news...................

Soon I hope?
I decided to set a couple more dozen eggs (buff orps) in my incubator for one more hatch for this year. LOL I am trying to get the humidity set up this afternoon so I can set the eggs tomorrow. The eggs are huge and everyone I broke for eating had a bull's eye so ..
fl.gif
So I will have some chicks to sell or raise in another three weeks here.
Missed your posts..surely something has happened to you to amuse us???

Prayer was said for you know what! LOL Wow, how do you ever find these wonderful deals? I only find junk. LOL
Can you believe this weather? I hope you and the folks in Ok and Texas are enjoying this wonderful weather we have had for the past week? I actually wore my BYC hoodie Sat. when we went to Springfield to the I-44 Swap Meet. We were there for an hour and a half. they told us to come on a Sunday as there are twice as many vendors then. But they close at 1:00 p.m.? Strange hours aren't they?
I can't wait to hear your stories.

Sunday night was our "Singing Supper"....(we celebrate the birthdays and anniversaries after service with food, and the service consist of a singing)
During the Singing....2 people (who shall remain) nameless...one was going to sing, my husband asked the other one to testify...they are NOT a couple...but one would dearly love to be...anyway...
The one singing had her backed turned, and the one testifying said he wished he had a girlfriend...he was teasing...but he had been talking so 'solemn' that it took a minute to register...my son (who NEVER misses anything) started laughing and repeating what was said. Needless to say...it was a minute before we could contain ourselves! My word! Folks are funny.
Pretty Boy got me yesterday, and I got a stick and thumped him. Not that it did any good, but I felt good for the moment...then wondered if i had hurt the little darling.
somad.gif

I was busy at the duck pen...you have to go in the coop to get to their pen, and thought I was watching closely....
smack.gif

I believe I'm going to have "rooster" and dumplings before the week-end!
I want to know what my ducks are...ya know...boy or girl...I have no clue...but they are still the most adorable things.
They are beginning to turn white...I need to go get a picture.
*I started to write a story the other day, and it made me so sad I didn't.; sorry. It wasn't even about childhood.
We are swimming down here...nope, don't need a pool, just step out the front door!
barnie.gif

My sister came for a surprise visit Monday! Her husband had to make a drive to Greenville, MS and stopped off to stay with me while he went there! What a wonderful welcome surprise!

My mouth got me into trouble the other day....it seems to do that a little to often! At least it wasn't to a church member! And it wasn't hateful...but just a little too 'sassy'.
I remember one time we were all piled up in the truck (it was cold so we couldn't ride in the back) and Daddy always like to park up front...some girls were having a bake sale and they were in my oldest sisters grade...well, they gave the 'snobby' look and finally one came over sugar sweet and said, "would'nt ya'll like to buy some of our baked goods"...my sister said, "No, thank you". That girl turned around and said to her friends..."I bet they would...there's just too many of them...they just don't have the money...they're Poor!"....and I informed her in about half a second that we knew they put face cream in their icing and that if it had been a pretty day we'd have brought the whole family!" And a few other wisecracks...
roll.png

When Mom and Dad came out of the bank the girls were all sulled up like toad frogs. My sister was telling me they would never speak to her again...like she needed them....and so on....but I felt good....
bun.gif

I was about 10 so that tells you how long I've had trouble...I can tell you I came by it honest....my Aunt Ann had this trouble....when she was a teenager...she was given a watch that didn't work...but it was pretty...well, one of the girls knew it didn't work and when they got together with some boys that evening, she wanted to embarress Ann....she said..."Ann, what time is it?" Ann, without batting an eyelash said..."There's a clock on the courthouse for those to poor to afford a watch!" sniffed, turned up her nose, and walked off with her soon to be boyfriend....

*Here's a picture I took a minute ago, when the rain took a break, of my ducks.

it is really easy to sex a duck. Pick it up and the one's with the loud squack are the girls and the ones that sound hoarse are the boys. Pretty though, are they pekin?

smile.png
Yes, Pekin Ducks....and sweet too.

The Rev. feed and watered this morning for me....he loves them too...he won't let me get rid of Pretty Boy because he loves to hear him crow.

<sigh> I'm going to make soap when I get back from Camp Meeting. I'm about out of soaps from the wonderful kind Darlene...and my family loved them..(and she says it's easy) ...so, I'm going to give it a try, and then if it turns out well, make another batch for a church fundraiser. We have decided to buy a newer church van...one with better air conditioner!!
fl.gif

We weren't really for sure how often we would use the van...and we use it ALOT!! In fact, we have two women's meetings coming up....one in Sept. (my MIL's) she has asked our ladies to perform one of my skits.
And then the "BIG" one in Branson....3 days and 2 nights...and what a wonderful time, with great ladies from all over the world! We had Missionary wives there last year! That's coming up in October....
Have I told ya'll the "Rev." is going on a hunting/fishing trip to Wyoming this fall?
The men in my family (my brothers) got this up...and they are set to head to one of the most beautiful parts in ALL of America...without me!
barnie.gif
Of course...I would wind up camp cook...so, not going to complain to loudly!
lol.png

(The Rev. has already confided in me several times about his 'concern' over the meal situation)
lau.gif

Next cool evening I'm going to show him what I know about campfire cooking...he never paid attention before
tongue.png

I'm not sending him my new camera...if I can find a cheapy I'll buy it...otherwise he's taking disposables!
wink.png

So much to plan for...and yet, right in the middle of it...is more plans!
hu.gif
Some days I feel like
barnie.gif
yup...wouldn't do me any good....
the mosquitoes would still plaster me, the green tree frogs would still hop on my head, and the cotton mouths will still slither out from the swamp!
Oh
ya.gif
I LOVE my triplets! Do you know what little prizes they brought me yesterday?
A 2 1/2 ft. cottonmouth and a baby possum! (Dead)
Good doggie!

I'm soooo jealous. I wish I had fun things to look forward to. All I get is work and crying kids anymore. We fish every weekend, but that is about it.
