Hi! New to the group. I'm trying to figure out if 4 of my chicks are Light Brahmas. We were given 5 chicks total 1 is a barred rock (with a strange comb) but the rest seem like siblings that are Light Brahma mix. (possibly crossed with Dark Brahmas) Would you please help me figure this out? Also, trying to find out if they are male or female. Very difficult to take pic of them as they are so active! Thank you!

They're light Brahma alright, but they could have dark Brahma mixed in or just not have perfect coloring for light Brahmas. The barred bird is either a Dominique or barred Rock cross. It's a little early to sex them but as of now they look like all pullets. The bird in the third picture is the one I'd keep an eye on-- it looks more like a pullet but could be a cockerel. Wait til it develops a bit more and try again.

Thank you JedJackson. They had the striping on their backs like the dark brahma chicks have, but not as prominent.
