Lighter-than-air pan rolls

I agree... these are the best. I make the bread once a week, and I've been asked to make them as rolls, special for thanksgiving.

You are all very welcome......glad you all like them. The first words out of my 11 year grandson's mouth when they come over is always...."did you make rolls?"​
 
Well, they are out of the oven and smelled amazing!! DH walked in teh door and went " OOOO I smell something bready?? Did you bake?"

Man, I'm glad I found this recipe. I'm gonna try it tomorrow and if it turns out right I might make them for Thanksgiving. I've tried several roll recipes before and they were all too heavy. One time I had made the little crescent shaped ones and everything and the inside of them were the texture of a biscuit...lol

On the yeast, what about the rapid rise yeast....has anyone used it?

I used real butter.
