Hello everyone!

A few of you know that I have 12 chicks that I recently bought. One of them is limping rather badly, and has what appears to be a growth coming out of its toe... right as the toenail begins. I don't know if this is what is causing the limp... but I tried to see if the "growth" would come off.. but it won't...

Here is a... somewhat cruddy picture that I took with the cellphone...

I would like any advice that you guys have to offer!!!

Hi Snoopy,
The picture is rather blurry, Are there 3 toenails?
Hi there!

Well, my phone does not take very good photos, but here is what I learned. So... there were 3 toenails. Right at the tip of the toe (where the toenail begins) was a huge bloodclot. That toenail was upside down, so I dunked the chicks toe in warm water, and the toenail came out!

The chick is still limping rather badly... but is eating and drinking with the 11 others.

Is there anything else I can do for this chick?

Don
