Little boy or girl serama?

Seramas can't seem to stick to any normal rules! Lol

This serama certainly isn't developing the way my two pekins did earlier this year. To demonstrate the current level of my obsession, here is a pic I made to compare the pekins with the serama.

The Pekin photos are blurry but it is very obvious that the top of one is a boy and the bottom one a girl. Not so with the serama. I'm still thinking cockerel based on the very slight orangey pink tint the comb is getting but I can't help have a sliver of hope for a pullet...I'm thinking of just keeping it even if it is a boy though. I already have one cockerel annoying the neighbours. What difference would one more make...?

I'm starting to think I'm still going to be guessing until it crows or lays!

You'll know soon. If it's a pullet, that comb will stay a washed out tone. If it's a cockerel, it will keep getting more yellow-orange.

The legs are another clue. They will be getting slightly thicker. Pullets have very slender stems.

Update: I know redness in photos is tricky to detect, but here is the latest photo of my little serama. I'm now almost certain it's a boy! Not sure if I will keep him yet.

Yes. It's getting pretty yellow-orange. I love Serama roos. Especially their authoritative little tails.

Update on the serama chick: After declaring it a roo, I am still holding on to a sliver of hope for a pullet. He/she is now six and a half weeks (45 days) and I am STILL not certain.

The pics don't really show it but most of the time his/her comb looks quite bright pink. Not really red but definitely darker than orange.

If its a boy, is his slow development anything to worry about? What's going on with this little guy?

Can anyone help with this? I'm going crazy here. I've added photos of my Pekin pullet and Pekin cockerel at 7 weeks. My serama is now nearly 7 weeks (see photos in my last post)and I still can't tell if it's a girl or a boy!!! Anyone with seramas help me out here!
