I am kicking myself for not getting heated buckets yet. My buckets were frozen solid this morning.

Misty, try putting a lid on the buckets and put them under a roof or shelter if you can. I've been doing that and although they freeze it's very thin ice and easy for them to break into. I clean and refill my buckets every night and when it's this cold I put the buckets out in their places in the run in the morning.

I normally empty the buckets at night but naturally I forgot last night. Putting a lid on them is smart! I am so over winter!! I have Texas blood in my veins!

Hmmm I see a market for us to make some money @Miss Lydia !! Hey @Jpat...I will buy some buckets and ship them to you...for a small finders fee!! Heated buckets are about $20-$25 here. Even the bigger ones for goats aren't but about $60...they are big enough for a ducky hot tub!
