Local paper - loose donkey

According to our local news website the police in town are in possession of a donkey that they found wandering the streets and are askiing the owner to come claim it. This bothers me for two reasons.

#1. I wasn't there to watch the cops wrangle it up. I'm sure that would have given me something to tease them about for years to come.


#2. I can't convince my DH that we are indeed missing a donkey.
