My bantam eggs usually hatch at day 19 - 2 days early. They are like clockwork - always at day 19.
Oh you must run a little hot. Then I'd go ahead and up the humidity on day 18 for the first ones. Still shouldn't hurt the later ones.

So what should I lower my still air incubator to for lock down?
I lower mine, but only by 1 or 2˚. Plenty of folks don't lower theirs, and I'm not sure that you need to. I do it because it's worked for me.
I think that's where I got the notion, at least the reason is the same, and I've definitely spent a fair amount of time on the sofa with Storey's Guide... I didn't realize so few hatchers did that, I just thought it was standard.I did lower mine 1 degree (0.1 degree per day, over the last 10 days). I have no idea where I read it or why. So the next time I didn't do it, and still was ok. Never did it since. LOL
(I think it may be mentioned in Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks, as being beneficial for duck eggs) Something about the heat that they generate on their own, once they get close to hatching?
I might just try it again with my current set.
